Project 01
TECH-PACK
DEVELOPMENT
This project involved creating professional tech packs for two garments — a fitted blazer and wide-leg sweatpants. The focus was on building clear, accurate documentation using Excel, including fabric and trim sourcing, POM tables, grade rules, tolerances, and cost estimates. The goal was to strengthen my technical documentation skills, which are essential in buying, production, and product development.

I sourced materials from Dressew and organized all garment details into structured Excel sheets. I learned how consistent formatting, measurable specs, and precise data entry support communication between design, technical teams, and manufacturers. One of the main challenges was maintaining accuracy and clarity across multiple charts and documents.

Overall, this project improved my Excel proficiency, attention to detail, and understanding of cost and production tracking. It also showed me how documentation links creative design with business strategy. Next time, I would include a costing sheet and production timeline to further align the tech pack with real industry workflows.
